I followed the tutorials also.
Not sure if we saw the same tutorial. The one I watched laid things out pretty well.
I probably tilt the AR more than they say. I’m at about 60°. Drop in the 10 rounds. Release the follower while still at a bit of a shallow angle. I definitely don’t let the follower slam closed but give a bit of control as it heads up. Doesn’t seem to matter if the bolt is opened or closed.
