The 10 day wait is not meant to deter anything but the exercise of your right to keep and bear arms.
There is absolutely zero evidence that a waiting period does ***anything*** other than keep you disarmed.
What it 100% **does** is kill people that need to go buy a gun right now because someone else is intent on harming them. There are *many* such documented cases (stalkers, abusive partners and exes, random crazies that decide they are going to harm *you specifically*).
That whole “if it saves just one life” lie is just a red herring. California will say and do *anything* to fuck with you to the point where you just give up and beg the state to defend you.
